How is my order delivered?
Once your order is collated and prepared, it is placed into a polystyrofoam box with ice packs. It is then sealed and transported in a registered and refrigerated Food Safe vehicle.
All of our orders adhere to national food safety standards and requirements. As noted in our terms and conditions, our delivery boxes are only a temporary cold-store option. Your order should be transferred to a refrigerator or freezer as soon as possible and always within two hours of delivery.
What happens if I am not home when my order is delivered?
As noted above, ideally the order should be placed in the refrigerator or freezer upon delivery. It is best to have someone at the address to receive the order.
The Fat Cow understands some situations are unavoidable and that you may not be at home when the order arrives. Every order is packed with ice in a Polystyrofoam box and depending on the weather; this may keep your order at a suitable temperature for up to two hours.
If there is no one at the address when the order is delivered, our delivery team will do our best to contact you. When instructed, we can leave your order in a suitable place or at a reception. If we cannot get into contact with you, your order will be returned to the shop and re-delivery will incur a further $20 charge, or you can pick it up from the shop at no charge.
Alternatively if you have notified us prior, we can leave the box in the designated location, but this will incur a $10 fee for the ice box. Please leave the box for us to pick up in the same designated area next time you have a delivery.
Once your order has been delivered it is not the responsibility of Fat Cow Gourmet Meats. Please refer to our terms and conditions.
